Estée Lauder | Double Wear Stay-in-Place Makeup

Recently I decided to splash out on some new foundation and concealer. I am not normally one to go for luxury brands, I'm normally found down in the natural collection or Rimmel sections!
I'm currently using the Rimmel Match Perfection foundation which I had previously heard good things about but I've just found it to make my skin look really grainy. I normally have a smooth complexion (if a little dry in areas. No matter what brand or how much or little I use, moisturiser just gives me spots!) so something must be wrong here...If I am to be honest, I found boots' own brand Natural Collection foundation to be better, but I do know many people who it works well for so it may just be me and my fussy skin
I decided to branch out an buy one of the high end brands. I've had my eye on this Estée Lauder foundation for quite a while but I wasn't sure if I could justify the expenditure. However, recently I decided that out of all make up products used, foundation is really the most worth investing in. So I decided to take the plunge and just buy it. I made sure to look more into it this time to see if the hype is really worth it! Everywhere I looked it had good reviews and high recommendations. I decided that (as my current is running out) I should buy a matching concealer to go with it. I haven't really heard much about Estée Lauder's concealers so I could be talking a bit of a gamble but we'll see.

I personally really like the packaging, I think it looks really classy. I really like the frosted glass bottle of the foundation, it's fairly heavy for the size but surely that just means quality?! I'm a sucker for a frosted glass bottle. I just love how the feel!

I've been wearing the foundation for a few days now and o have really noticed a difference in the coverage from my usual foundation. This gives a much more even and smooth finish. It looks very natural but you can build it up if you want a heavier look. I've received several compliments whilst I have been wearing this with people saying how better my skin looks. I find that it doesn't feel heavy compared to other foundations which tend to make my skin look lumpy even though it's naturally smooth.

I really like this concealer as, like the foundation, it is really light and natural looking. I have found that a little goes a long way so this will be lasting me a very long time!
I definitely think that these products are definitely worth the money.  Both go a long way and both feel so nice to wear. Sometimes you can really feel the presence of a foundation on your skin through out the day but I item forget it's there! My only problem is that it's so hard to get off in an evening, but I guess that comes with it being long lasting make up!

Here's where you can find the foundation and the concealer. However, Debenhams currently have an offer until the 14th where you can get a free gift if you buy 2 or more Estée Lauder products including a foundation or skincare product. I am gutted I missed out on that one, it actually looks like such a good gift!

Next Monday is my Mum's birthday and I have finally got organised and bought her a present! This year I have decided to treat her with a piece of nice jewellery, so yesterday I made my way down to my favourite jewellery shop to buy a bracelet that I've had my eye on for a while. I'm not really once for buying from these shops mind you, I'm more of a window shopper, so the thought terrified me! I did it however and I just really hope she likes it! I would have included a picture of the bracelet below but as you'll see I had it gift wrapped and I didn't want to ruin it! It's two pretty, silver bangles linked together with another piece of silver to make it one bracelet, if that helps at all! I just love the packaging and gift wrap. It's so simple but very effective.
