Crosley Cruiser

I FINALLY got myslef a record player! I'd had my eye on the Crosley Cruisers for absolutely aaages so I finally decided to take the plunge and buy one. I am so happy with it. I'd heard mixed reviews but I only have positives! The sound is fantastic and my Mum says it takes her back to when she was a teenager, the aesthetics are gorgeous, I could go on and on. There was no point in buying a record player with no records though so I just HAD to kick start my collection with AM by the Arctic Monkeys and Everything This Way by Walking On Cars but I have already ordered 3 more today! I am already addicted. Help.

Here's to a long future of record collecting!

Courteeners | November 2015

Waaaaaaay back in November me and a couple of friends went to see the Courteeners perform in Newcastle. They are one of my favourite bands so as you could expect, I was extremely excited to see them perform. However, I recalled someone I used to work with coming in one day after seeing them being asked how the gig was. He responded with "a bit disappointing". This refused to leave my mind in the run up to the gig and I was slightly worried that I had just wasted £25. Oh how wrong was I. I am not exaggerating when I say it was the best gig I have ever been to. Liam Fray is a fantastic performer and front man. Not only did we make the very front row but we also met him after the show! I had also heard negative things about Liam too but he was genuinely lovely to everyone who had waited behind. He even remembered one of the guy's name from a previous show. We may have been sprayed with beer and what potentially could have been wee from fellow audience members but my word it was worth it all.

Overdue Haircut

I am one of those people who rarely enters into a hairdressers unless I really have to. Yesterday, I really had to.

My hair had become ridiculously long, so long in fact that even when I had it in a high ponytail it was way past my waist. I was starting to get really self conscious about it and decided it was finally time to get the chop. So, at 11 am yesterday morning I found myself sitting in the local hair dressers with my hair awaiting its fate. I am awful when it comes to hair and the hairdresser kept asking me all these questions with me sat there repeatedly saying "I don't know...", hoping she would suggest something. In the end she did but not before I could see her progressively trying to cover up her frustration. Less than an hour later I walked out of the salon feeling like a new woman.

Final opinion: I like it but I don't love it. I am thankful to have to more shape to it rather than it just hanging there like a curtain but I cannot wait for the ends to grow a little so they are not as blunt. I know it isn't really that short but dear me it feels it!

I would have included a before and after comparison but my hair was too messy to take a decent before photo!
